From earlier post I said my daughter has just had her birthday and because it was on Easter Friday I decided to bunny theme some of the bits. Because of it being the holidays there were only two little girls coming so I made these cute little treat boxes as there wee take home thing with all there bits and pieces. There are plenty of designs of these around the internet so I just used the bits I had. They were very well received .

Undefined
At a training day I went to a few weeks ago in Gordonton we all got to have ago at carving our own stamp, the hardest part about all this is coming up with your idea. I looked out the window and saw a sign advertising strawberries! I'm quite stoked with how this came out and now that I have had a go I've got lots of ideas I would like to try. The kit comes with all you need to make your own. A couple of carving tools and enough rubber to make two or three or maybe more depending on the size, stamps!

Handbags
It's that time again, one of my kids is having a birthday so time to get creative on the invitations. This idea is a combo of many card ideas I have seen about the internet and thought it would make a really cute invitation. The purse handles were made from some silver bead ribbon stuff I had on hand, a pearl one would have gone well with these papers but I couldn't find mine one.

Happy Mother's Day ......
Confused! Mother's Day in NZ is not until May , but in England they celebrate it earlier than us. My English friend can never find a card to send to her mum, So these were created just for her. A great reason to be making your own cards! You can always find the right sentiment.

I started with a sketch.
These were a couple of male inspired cards I made in my play time last week. I found a sketch in my saved book, found a couple of stamp sets I hadn't played with in awhile and here is the results.

Happy birthday Bro
I have hunter gathers in my family . As I was going thru my stamps I found this retired Christmas set that I thought fitted the bill nicely. I don't think it even got inked up at christmas time, but I love it here. I found a sketch from my Pinterest boards, and found a male looking colour combo from the colour coach and this is the result!

Wish Big !
My son has a birthday party to go to this afternoon and of course I left the card making to the last minute, although I had the plan in my head and for a change it came right out of my head as a imagined. Love it when a plan comes together. We had bought movie vouchers for a present so hench the popcorn on the card. The red and white striped box has a 3D effect to it and all the popcorn pieces have been sponged with daffodil delight to coat them in butter. Yummy!

And a few punches here and there. We made 12 all up. We are pleased with the outcome just gotta win the approval of the six year old to be!!

Christmas Tags
People are starting to mention Christmas already - does that scare you? While blog surfing today I came across the awesome blog of Becky Roberts. She had a Halloween item on her blog that I thought sought be great for Christmas. with a colour change of course and different stamps I made three sets of these Christmas tags in no time at all. Becky provides all the measurement you need. Everything I have used is retired here but this project can be changed in so many ways to what you have.

Colour wash technique
I have finely bought myself an aqua painter. I have admired many of the colour wash cards around and wanted to have a go myself. The first two cards here are CASED Cards which I really enjoyed recreating. And as I was making them I was thinking of my other outline stamp sets that I have, so then followed the poppies. As the background for this I used the new neutral smokey slate. This is fun today, I think I will try some more.

Pretty present
This is one of the tag and gift boxes that is in our new catalogue right now, I needed a quick gift for one of my sons teachers and with no time to go to the shops. I had to make biscuits for lunch boxes any way so thought we would sent some along to a busy teacher also,. The hardest part about these gift boxes is what colour tag to use lol.

Baby Boy
This card was a request by a friend and she wanted a personalised card. What to do, what to do. I don't get to make many baby cards so I don't really have to many baby stamps, but using light blue for a boy has gotta be a sure bet! I just cut the name from my Big Shot letters and stuck them on with my stampin' up 2-way glue stick, so that I can take them off again. Then I ran the wheel over it and because the bashful blue is pale I also then sponged over and around the letters to make them show up more. I added a layer of bling to jazz the card up , then it was done. A very happy customer.

Stop, wait......
Stop, wait, cross now please. I hear these words on a daily basis when I walk my kids to school. My middle child takes this responsibility very seriously so I thought I had better scrap this major in his life at this time. I had the page planned in my head for quite some time and I think it feel together well. There are a few items from 'other' places but never mind...

Lego Invitations
I have seen all the Lego party stuff around on the Internet and would loved to have done one for my boys but I think they are a bit to old for it now although they both still love to play with their lego. So I have a friend whose little boy will turn for soon so we convinced him to have a lego party lol! So here are the invites I made. Very simple, but they look cool en mass.

Summer memories
This was a page I did back when it still felt like summer! Using sale-a-ration free papers, the colors in the papers made it even feel warmer, This picture was taken of my kids on Christmas Day, what a great place to spend the day.

Out with the old, in with the new.
2 posts in one day from me wow! Well not really, that last post I did about 2 months ago and didn't realise it didn't publish, bit any how. I have been busy busy. Lots of cards have been produced around here with Mother's Day been and gone. I will get to photographing some of those soon.
These cards I have for you today were made from a sketch I found on Pintrest, I took quite a shine to it and also found the left overs from a simply scrappin' kit from last years catalogue. So before I can buy new paper I first need to use up some old stuff, and the new Stampin' up catalogue is rite around the corner - so that will mean new DSP papers. Now on to my cards.

Four of a kind
This was a card we made at my $3 card class last month, it was a design idea from pintrest. I usually give my ladies a colour choice option on some of the cards. My card was the top right and I think this was a great photo of all of them together.
