Happy 21st Emily

Isn't this awesome. This was an order from one of my stamp class ladies. Her daughter (another of my stamping ladies) had her 21st a couple of weeks ago and the mum wanted one of these for all the guests to sign, isn't that a great keepsake.  I haven't made one of these squash books in a very long time so really enjoyed putting it together. Its all black and confetti white cardstock with a wee touch of silver  and a little bit of perfect plum. I used white craft ink to stamp on the black pieces and for now it has  plain black covers. A good space for some photos maybe. There are many sets used on here. I hope the birthday girl liked it.

Masculine Birthday card

This was the birthday card I made for my oldest boy for his birthday. Its a great design I cased from Kristine McNickle from a while back, I loved what she did on her card and I have made a lot of this style for boys cards just changing the colour combo. The skater dude has had the rock'n'roll technique done on him using the same two colours of my card, Lucky Limeade and Elegant Eggplant. This card uses a stampin up stamp that was never available here, such a shame! It's borrowed from a friend. My son is into his scooter in a big way so this was close.

My Princess Castle card

A week or so ago Tracey Old featured on her blog a fantastic castle card that she had made from a tutorial found in blog land, Well, I have a wee princess who is about to turn 5 and I just had to go hunt it down to make my own card so the tutorial is Here, featured on a blog by Lisa Young. My wee girl loves pink and purple so I used the DSP that is from the hostess section this catalogue called Cheerful Treat. Her birthday is still a few weeks away so I am trying to keep the card a secret.

The Open sea, for the blokes

I finally have got the have a play with some new goodies. I am so glad we got this set in New Zealand, I also have the DSP that goes with this open sea stamp set and I have so many sea side photos to scrap with it. Anyways, these two cards are for two family members birthdays commin' up. The card on the left has been cased from Deb Ferns, an Australian Demo. Its a nice clean looking card. And then the one to the right I just let loose and played. I also used the new to me smooch spritz. Here I have used the 'Gold Glow' one that kind of gives the card an aged look as well as the sparkle that you can't see here. This stuff is so cool and I have to hold back from putting it on all my cards lol.
