Happy Birthday to my 2nd son, 11 years old today and a Hugh minecraft fan. This card was so easy I don't know why it's taken so long to create one of these cards!

Your Invited....
My oldest Boy had his birthday last week and these were the invites I made. The Dsp on the front is retired but I only had a little bit left, just perfect for the four invites I had to make, pretty simple design and there was a piece of string looping round the flowers to keep it shut. I even ran the flower thing past him first and he was ok with that too.

My Princess Castle card
A week or so ago Tracey Old featured on her blog a fantastic castle card that she had made from a tutorial found in blog land, Well, I have a wee princess who is about to turn 5 and I just had to go hunt it down to make my own card so the tutorial is Here, featured on a blog by Lisa Young. My wee girl loves pink and purple so I used the DSP that is from the hostess section this catalogue called Cheerful Treat. Her birthday is still a few weeks away so I am trying to keep the card a secret.

Remembering summer
This is another card very similar to This card I made a while back using the spotlighting technique and the new in colours. I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to line it all up because I didn't trust myself. Very simple but effective card. Watch this space, I have more stamps I want to do this too yet. lol

Name Cards
This is the birthday card I made for my 2nd son back in December. It was an idea I found in blog land and thought it would be perfect because he has a short name. I had to use a retired wheel because I needed some thing with a very close together pattern. I cut out all the letters with my Bigshot then just laid them in place, 1st attempt I stuck them down but then couldn't get them off. Just sitting them on the paper worked fine. I also held the letters in place one by one as I sponged around them just to make them pop even more. The balloons were just made from punches for something extra.
A few weeks after my sons b-day his friend 'Cole' had his birthday so I made another similar card using green and purple, it looked very cool unfortunately I forgot to photograph it.

Extreme Guitars
This is my latest new rubber. Its a stamp with so many possibilities. Can make boy or girl cards, I have a 10 year old and this is just great for around that age with out being cute. My boys are not even into music this way but my cards got a definite thumbs up from them - even the pink one!! The card on the left was made using the colour coach, I thought it a strange colour combo but now that I have tried it I really like it, Go the colour Coach.

Colour Combo's
Where do your colour combinations come from? On Thursdays my wee one and I go to a mainly music group, there was a little boy there who had on a vest knitted for him by grandma, and these were the colours. I thought it would make a very cool card. The layout I saw on another blog with completely different colours and stamps. Here I have used all the stamps in the Lots of Bots set, such a cute set for little boys cards.

Extreme... Boys
My friend late last year went to America for a holiday and while there took a stampin'-up workshop with a demonstrator and also put in a wee order of some stamps we can not get here yet, I say yet because I am ever hopeful. I have two boys aged 7 and almost 10 years old so they and all there friends are well past lots of the cute-sy stamps that are around for kids. So I couldn't help having a play with these two from her collection and I can see so many possibilities from these, They are called 'Extreme skateboard and Extreme Dirt bike'.

Sesame Street comes to town
These are my version of the sesame street characters made with the scallop circle in the Big Shot. They are so much fun to create. I had to bring out a couple of retired colours to get the right colours but the kids don't mind. These would make such great kids party invites. The Cookie monster has a part eaten cookie hanging from inside on a piece of ribbon so you can put it to his mouth for nibbling on. And Big Bird needs his eyes put further up on top of his head. No stamping involved here.

Lots of Bots
Even before the new Autumn winter mini came out I had seen this stamp set on a few blogs and decided this was my must have set from this mini along with plenty of others, lol.
This is so cute and great for boys cards, my boys love this set. I have played with it a couple of times now. This 1st card is such a cool colour combo. I have not long got my first pack of basic grey and I want to put it with everything, as you will see over my next few posts.
