Congratulations....

I know I have been MIA for quite some time now, I kinda lost all my crafty - ness. I've been making the odd thing here and there, surfing the web and came across this cool idea for an Engagement card (will link it up when I find the original again.) I used a colour combo I've used before and really quite like.  My brother has not long got engaged so it heading his way.

Punchart Trucks

Isn't this the coolest  punch art. This page has been completely CASE ed from Here  . I loved everything about it and as soon as a saw it, I just new exactly which photos I would use. I don't have the stamp set Erica used for the cute trucks so  I went hunting for some punch art.  I had these saved on my computer for a long time but I had no names or anything with it so don't no who to give credit to for these great designs. I also had just the completed pictures so had to make them up as I went along.

Cricket punchart scrapbooking

This is more of my scrapbooking pages, my oldest son played cricket at school. I don't own any sport stamps so made some cricket wickets with punchart on my page. I love how it turned out. So far the cricket ball is just plain and still not stuck down, I need a white gel pen to draw on the stitching.

Baby Punchart - before and after.

This is some punchart completely cased from the fantastic Ellen Kemper, The card to the left I have admired for a long time, just needed someone to make it for. Here I have used papers and matching card from the Sunny Garden DSP, the card co-ordinates beautifully.
And to the right I just choose to make a pink baby card this time round.

Thanks for visiting.

By the seaside

Last week I had a request by a lady for some birthday cards, seaside inspired. I don't own any fishy type stamps even though I do love all things nautical including being there!! So I started with the Something fishy retired wheel and then went on a punchart tangent based on lots of cards I have seen around blog land. I will post the other two cards I made tomorrow, They are all punchart to. I found it hard to do a request but once I got going....

Easter Treat baskets at school

Before school broke for the holidays I went into one of my kids classes to do Easter baskets with them. On the left was my basket to show them. We made round baskets using old jar lids as the base of the basket, And made bunny bums with my punches. And instead of stamping ,my friend( the teacher) had some old wall paper sample books so all the kids could choose there own colours. So the photo on the right is all the baskets from the class, they looked so cool altogether. They also Dyed and painted hard boiled eggs to go in them to take home.

Butterfly pansies

This idea has been around the internet for a long time and finally I have done my version. I have used the centre flowers from the Greenhouse Garden stamp set. I have chosen to do just white pansies with yellow centres but of course the Pansy colours are endless. I like how this came out.

Easter Treat Big Shot Box

This is my version of a Big Shot box with the scallop square. When I do Easter I usually always reach for My Elegant Eggplant because Cadbury(NZ Chocolate) is purple, lol. But I love how this came out. I didn't use any ones template it's easy enough to nut out your own, but I did use the cute as little bunny bums I saw on Paula Dobson's Blog not so long ago. Have also used the Easter egg wheel I bought just before it retired last year, I mainly got it because I do lots of craft with kids at school and its so easy for them to operate.

Punch Art

This is some more fantastic punch art from the fabulous blog of 'Ellen Kemper' ( sorry I don't no how to link). I used this idea in a class last weekend, its nice and simple and uses just one punch, The Bird punch. This card also got me using my colour pack of Melon Mambo' which I have had forever and barely used. Also the DSP is retired but it was the best match I had for the job.

Punch Art Tags

Well I'm back from a fantastic summer camping holiday at the beach and ready to get blogging again. I have lots to catch up with. Just before Xmas one of my boys had a birthday, this is the invitation I came up with. The inspiration came from Andrea Walford. My copy of her work is the tag with the bugs all over it. My sons invitation was the blue shark one. The shark punch art was found in blog land somewhere, sorry i cant remember where. The sweet treats cups did have jelly snakes in them. When you pulled the tag out to get to the lollies all the invite information was on there. As you can imagine they caused quite a stir when they were given out at school.
And the razzleberry tag at the top is the one my friend made for her niece for her birthday card/present.

The cutest kiwi

Last Friday night a friend and I got together to play just with punches and to create some of the punch art animals that we have seen around blogs, there some very talented artists out there. Not so long ago I created a punch art pukeko from a crow I had seen on a blog just by changing the colours. So that got me thinking how to make it real "kiwi". this is what I came up with. Its not quite all stampin' up because we dont have a droplet shape(the eyes). But isnt it just so cute. it was a bleak day here when I took the photo. The base colour of the card is Baja breeze.

Retro flowers for mum

On Wednesday I went into my childrens school to make mothers day cards with 5 and 6 year old kids. This was a card I cased from a blog I visit very regularly. Flowerbug's inkspot punch art . This lady does the most amazing punch art. I needed something very simple for the kids. I took in lots of my punches and they just cut shapes and flowers out of different papers. They had a ball.

Happy Birthday Zoe

Tomorrow is my Daughters 3rd birthday and i have had this ladybug thing going round in my head for some time. Its such an easy animal to create with punches, so it came out of my head and on to my desk super easy and i just love the finished product. Its quite big so i put the corner rounder in the photo to. The white half rounds are where we will write.
