Pretty present

This is one of the tag and gift boxes that is in our new catalogue right now, I needed a quick gift for one of my sons teachers and with no time to go to the shops. I had to make biscuits for lunch boxes any way so thought we would sent some along to a busy teacher also,. The hardest part about these gift boxes is what colour tag to use lol.

Baby Boy

This card was a request by a friend and she wanted a personalised card. What to do, what to do. I don't get to make many baby cards so I don't really have to many baby stamps, but using light blue for a boy has gotta be a sure bet!  I just cut the name from my Big Shot letters and stuck them on with my stampin' up 2-way glue stick, so that I can take them off again. Then I ran the wheel over it and because the bashful blue is pale I also then sponged over and around the letters to make them show up more. I added a layer of bling to jazz the card up , then it was done. A very happy customer.

Happy Valentines Day

We don't celebrate this day much in my house but I do like to give my kids a wee treat. The milk carton die makes a cute size to give something small. I filled these up with skittles.

Congratulations....

I know I have been MIA for quite some time now, I kinda lost all my crafty - ness. I've been making the odd thing here and there, surfing the web and came across this cool idea for an Engagement card (will link it up when I find the original again.) I used a colour combo I've used before and really quite like.  My brother has not long got engaged so it heading his way.

Your Invited....

My oldest Boy had his birthday last week and these were the invites I made. The Dsp on the front is retired but I only had a little bit left, just perfect for the four invites I had to make, pretty simple design  and there was a piece of string looping round the  flowers to keep it shut. I even ran the flower thing past him first and he was ok with that too.

Sand Angels

Another of my scrapbook pages. This time this was my daughter last summer - remember the one where we had lots and lots of sun, 2011, she was making sand angels, just like the ones you make in the snow.!! This page I kept very simple. I had a big open space in the top left corner until I first got my Big shot die with all the trims on it, I was putting those squiggly little lines on everything, but it did need something up there I just didn't no what at the time. The shell stamps across the bottom come from "the other" stamp place.

Name Cards

This is the birthday card I made for my 2nd son back in December. It was an idea I found in blog land and thought it would be perfect because he has a short name. I had to use a retired wheel because I needed some thing with a very close together pattern. I cut out all the letters with my Bigshot then just laid them in place, 1st attempt I stuck them down but then couldn't get them off. Just sitting them on the paper worked fine. I also held the letters in place one by one as I sponged around them just to make them pop even more. The balloons were just made from punches for something extra.

A few weeks after my sons b-day his friend 'Cole' had his birthday so I made another similar card using green and purple, it looked very cool unfortunately I forgot to photograph it.

Embossing resist, again

This was a birthday card for a friend of mine whose b-day was a couple of days ago, It uses my favourite technique but this time I have done it on DSP. I love stamping on newsprint patterns Here I have used wheels and lots of different stamps, its hard to see each one separately. Also big butterflies using the Big Shot. I love how this came out.

Extreme Guitars

This is my latest new rubber. Its a stamp with so many possibilities. Can make boy or girl cards, I have a 10 year old and this is just great for around that age with out being cute. My boys are not even into music this way but my cards got a definite thumbs up from them - even the pink one!! The card on the left was made using the colour coach, I thought it a strange colour combo but now that I have tried it I really like it, Go the colour Coach.

Seeing spots

This is another of those cards made with the inlaid embossing technique. I first started with my spot wheel, then punched out different sized circles then ran it though the big shot with the spot embossing folder. The candles were stamped in white then sprinkled with glitter to make them sparkly

By the seaside

Last week I had a request by a lady for some birthday cards, seaside inspired. I don't own any fishy type stamps even though I do love all things nautical including being there!! So I started with the Something fishy retired wheel and then went on a punchart tangent based on lots of cards I have seen around blog land. I will post the other two cards I made tomorrow, They are all punchart to. I found it hard to do a request but once I got going....

Oh I wish.....

....I was on the other side off the world, somewhere nice and warm some place. Oh to dream. Here is one more creation from that wonderful set Artistic Etchings. I had a go at one of those flowers you see everywhere, now flowers are not my thing but I kinda like how simple they are to make like this. I for got to photograph it but the inside of this card has that Eiffel tower stamped on some lighter coloured paper. Its this set that made me think of some where nice and warm hmmmm.

Driving by.....

Here I am...... I have not up loaded anything here for quite some time but I have been crafting, but just need to photograph all my things . This is a card I made sometime ago using the Joy fold Design. I had a wee scrap of embossed wallpaper left over from another project and That's how it all began. Wall paper embosses so well because its soft. This card just evolved from there. I love it and its the second I have made just with different wall paper.

Easter Treat baskets at school

Before school broke for the holidays I went into one of my kids classes to do Easter baskets with them. On the left was my basket to show them. We made round baskets using old jar lids as the base of the basket, And made bunny bums with my punches. And instead of stamping ,my friend( the teacher) had some old wall paper sample books so all the kids could choose there own colours. So the photo on the right is all the baskets from the class, they looked so cool altogether. They also Dyed and painted hard boiled eggs to go in them to take home.

Easter Treat Big Shot Box

This is my version of a Big Shot box with the scallop square. When I do Easter I usually always reach for My Elegant Eggplant because Cadbury(NZ Chocolate) is purple, lol. But I love how this came out. I didn't use any ones template it's easy enough to nut out your own, but I did use the cute as little bunny bums I saw on Paula Dobson's Blog not so long ago. Have also used the Easter egg wheel I bought just before it retired last year, I mainly got it because I do lots of craft with kids at school and its so easy for them to operate.

Family Valentines

Last week when I took my daughter to mainly music one of our 'leaders' gave us some ideas for things to do with your family and/or free stuff for valentines. Every member gets A card and we write in the heading 'I Love you because....... ' and pass each card around each member of the family, so you write a message for everyone. I thought this be kinda fun. old These are the cards I made. We have 5 people and each of the kids have already picked the card they want. Each card is 4 1/4" square. And they each have at least one red glitter heart on it.
