Pretty party Dresses

Isn't this cute. Oh the possibilities for these cards. This was an idea I saw on Pintrest.   Here is the website with fantastic instructions to make the dress. I have dyed my ribbon to suit my paper and as I noticed after I photographed the card the ribbon was not quite dry so it leeched into the doily.(note to self - more patience is needed) I found my doilies at the supermarket. It is just a bit over 4 inches across. I think I mite use these for my little girls next party invites, but in purple of course.

Simply sparkly

These two very cute cards were part of the line up at my last $3 card monthly workshop that is held at my home, it was an idea  i found someone else had done(sorry can't remember who now). I loved how simple it was, we stepped it up a bit and used heat and stick powder and glitter to make it all sparkly. The sparkly bits 'call out' to so many people, it doesn't actually show up in the photo but they were just lovely. It can be adapted to any colour. These two were Melon mambo and Pacific point.
Contact me if you would like to come join in with my $3 cards and I will send you the details.

Orange Again

This was another of my layouts from the beginning and using that orange colour that i dislike so much but  it keeps popping up over and over again. I picked my two colours from the balloons and couldn't really change that. This was one of those family pages to go into our Family Album. I struggle with  the journalling side of scrapbooking, this is one of those pages that still needs details. The memory tag in the page above came from a set at spotlight, Not Stampin' up but fantastic for scrapbooking!

Extreme Guitars

This is my latest new rubber. Its a stamp with so many possibilities. Can make boy or girl cards, I have a 10 year old and this is just great for around that age with out being cute. My boys are not even into music this way but my cards got a definite thumbs up from them - even the pink one!! The card on the left was made using the colour coach, I thought it a strange colour combo but now that I have tried it I really like it, Go the colour Coach.

Baby Punchart - before and after.

This is some punchart completely cased from the fantastic Ellen Kemper, The card to the left I have admired for a long time, just needed someone to make it for. Here I have used papers and matching card from the Sunny Garden DSP, the card co-ordinates beautifully.
And to the right I just choose to make a pink baby card this time round.

Thanks for visiting.

Black and White

This is yet another card with inlaid embossing on it just using circles and really simple black and white its a very striking card and even though its possibly quite a masculine card I still added the bling in the bottom right hand corner. I love this.

By the seaside

Last week I had a request by a lady for some birthday cards, seaside inspired. I don't own any fishy type stamps even though I do love all things nautical including being there!! So I started with the Something fishy retired wheel and then went on a punchart tangent based on lots of cards I have seen around blog land. I will post the other two cards I made tomorrow, They are all punchart to. I found it hard to do a request but once I got going....

Going Green

This is a colour I have not used and is maybe a bit odd for a Sympathy card but I needed a dark- ish colour. This is a case from blog land that I really liked. It uses the embossing resist technique and also a 'new to me' technique of apply ink over an embossed image, I like this! Think I will be doing this some more. This now retired Bliss set make such nice sympathy cards

Hip to be Square...

This was a card I first saw done by Mary Fish, on her blog called 'stampinpretty.com' she has a fantastic blog. Her card was also done in green. I had a person in mind for this card when I also decided to do green, I used Old olive for the card base and pear pizzaz for the ink, its such a nice green. I then decided to have another go using Black and vanilla, and then changed the card a bit. I used lots of different stamps in these and a few pearls. I love how they both came out and am now keen to try some different colour combos.

Good Luck & Goodbye

One Of My Daughters teachers had her last day at Kindy today after 23 years!! so I made this little gift set and filled with Easter eggs. The milk cartons are non stampin-up paper but matched my card. The card was just out of my scrap box and it was my 1st play with my 'Strength and Hope' set. It's made such a cute set and the gift was very well received.

Seeing spots

This was my play with the circles embedded in the paper with the embossing, it looks so cool and a great way to use some scraps. I made the panel with the circles then remembered a sketch I had found on line some where so decided to follow thu with that. Love this technique.

Masculine CASE card

This was sort of a copy from the IBC page 83.
I was not sure where i was heading with this , but I think it came out alright in the end. The top note shape has been cut from a wall paper sample I picked up from somewhere in the past, I have almost used them all now, must go find some more. They are great to put thru the Big shot with embossing folders.

Playtime

On Sunday I had a wonderful day just playing with all my stamping stuff. I wasn't making anything for anyone and I had a ball. All up I made 15 cards to have on hand so I have lots to post over the next weeks or so. This was made from a sketch I have used before and really like.
